Meet Duane and Stephanie Olson, New Owners of Asbel Chiropractic
The newlywed chiropractors took over ownership in October.
Asbel Chiropractic recently came into new hands and is now owned and operated by recent graduates and newlyweds Duane and Stephanie Olson.
The Olsons attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. They moved to Rosemount in August, were married in September and took over Dr. Asbel’s practice in October.
“It’s been a learning experience, to say the least,” said Duane.
Duane noted that he and Stephanie are each required to wear two hats — that of a chiropractor and of a business owner.
However, it appears both hats fit quite nicely. The couple has retained approximately 75 percent of Dr. Asbel’s former patients, according to Stephanie.
The Olsons offer a wide range of chiropractic services. They are both enthusiastic about working with athletes and children. Duane is one of only three chiropractors in the state who specializes in extremities. Stephanie, who comes from a family of chiropractors, is the only female chiropractor in Rosemount and is currently training to specialize in neurology.
“I couldn’t be happier with my job,” said Stephanie.
Since moving to Rosemount, the Olsons have also come to appreciate the community.
“We’ve always liked the southern metro area,” said Duane.
The Olsons selected Rosemount as the site of their practice because of the town’s family atmosphere. And, with Duane’s family in South Dakota and Stephanie’s in Upper Michigan, the couple is within driving distance of both of their relations.
Soon, the Olsons’ presence in the Rosemount community will be official. They are changing the name of the practice to Olson Family Chiropractic. A sign bearing the new name will arrive within the coming weeks.
