The Rosemount girls swimming and diving team took ninth place at the Class AA True Team state meet on Wednesday at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

The Irish finished with 1,201 points, good enough for ninth in the 12-team meet. Stillwater won the event with 2,254 points, Edina placed second at 2,167 points and defending champion Wayzata finished third with 2,064 points.

The victory was Stillwater’s eighth state title in True Team’s nine years of existence.

Fellow South Suburban Conference squad Eastview took 10th with 1,132 points.

Rosemount qualified for the state meet by winning the Section 3AA title on Saturday.
